Our story began in the late 19th century along the River Tyne, initially supplying UK paper mills with essential materials like rope, cloth and paper. While our roots remain firmly planted in the recovered paper sector, we’ve evolved significantly over the decades. In January 1985, the company officially registered as ‘Riverdale Waste Paper Ltd’, a name born from a quick-thinking moment at the tax office!

Over 40 years later, and now known as Riverdale Recycling, we’ve broadened our expertise to include plastics, polythene, secure data destruction and waste management for Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF), offering businesses across the UK a comprehensive and sustainable solution for commercial waste, building on a proud history of innovation and service.
