Riverdale owns and operates processing facilities in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and Shotton Colliery in Durham. Both of these locations benefit from materials sorting and mill-size baling capacity, enabling us to receive and process a wide range of recyclable materials.
These sites are equipped with static, 16mm cross-cut shredders, located in secure buildings and fully compliant with the UK Security Shredding Association (UKSSA) Code of Practice.
Collected materials for security shredding are directed to the secure confidential shredding bay, where they are off-loaded and logged before shredding.
Once processed, the shredded paper is baled prior to transfer to UK-based paper mills for pulping and recycling into tissue-grade products, such as paper hand towels and toilet tissue. A Certificate of Destruction is then issued to the customer, confirming destruction and enabling them to demonstrate GDPR compliance.
Riverdale welcomes the opportunity to host existing and potential customers at both our Gateshead and Durham facilities, and we are happy to provide contract references to demonstrate the levels of service we maintain on a daily basis.
